John Dockerill formed Viewpoints in 1996 and, for the past 14 years, has worked as an independent mentor in companies requiring development or turnaround. He is on the approved list or has worked with all the major banks and insolvency firms from which he can provide personal references, especially for his work in company turnaround. He is also a volunteer business mentor with the Prince’s Trust, helping young entrepreneurs with business start ups.

He was previously a career managing director with large corporations, and led a management buy out of an international company in 1993, raising £6m in venture capital and cash flow borrowing, before realising his investment in 1996.

His experience and skills translate into strengths in getting the best out of companies in all key areas of management, in particular strategic development issues and team leadership. He knows what it means to be the custodian of shareholders funds in large public companies, SME’s, as well as in the context of his own company.

He has a first degree in chemistry, and a post graduate Diploma in Management Studies (DMS).
